Big Mouth Zombie

Alberto had sent me over some drawings about a new zombie that he wanted, one with a huge gaping maw of a mouth. Tony sculpted it up really quick, I detailed it, molded it and cast it in foam latex for the big scene. Here we have Tony, John, Johnny, Heather and I all working together to get the appliance applied, painted, detailed and ready to be shot.

The basic appliance is in place, and the mouth works the way it was designed!

Heather gives it the base coat, then goes in and details in the shading and highlights for it.

Then comes the big mouth work! We needed to detail her lips and teeth so that they wouldn't be seen behind the appliance.

Next I installed the acrylic teeth that I made and stained a few days earlier. And once it's all in place, she's ready to get bloody!

Blue Zombie

This was a typical Zombie like most others used in the film. Tony did the application, Heather did the base paint and details.

And when put all together, it's pretty gruesome.

Rich Zombie

Alberto also wanted a zombie that had half his face ripped off showing bone underneath. Our buddy Rich got the honors of being the victim in this case! John did the application, Heather blended the appliance, and I went in and gored him up!

Here's the gore, blood gel and blook being added in.
