"Velyap" Mask

This is a custom mask made for the Revalations Film Shoot.

The Velyap is one of the Aliens designed for Return of the Jedi, but not used. Eric found a picture of it in the Star Wars Chronicals Book and decided it would be a nice addition to the Revelations Film shoot.

We started out much in the same way as with the Hammerhead, but cutting some foam to size, and covering it with pantyhose and latex. Eric also added masking tape spikes, and small foam balls to the inside.

Then came painting.

And finally, Sam wearing the costume down in DC at the shoot.
