DRAGON*CON!!! Has it been a whole year? Wow. This year I'm not associated with another convention, so I was able to let my chest hair down and just enjoy myself without worrying!

So it was time to head to Atlanta and see friends we hadn't seen all year!!

WEDNESDAY

Anthony and I flew to Atlanta. He with no carry-on and one suitcase that was half full so he could go shopping, while I brought a stuffed carry-on and three PACKED suitcases full of 8 costumes for Dragon*Con!!

Z drove up from Florida and picked us up from the airport to bring us to the hotel!

Our first stop was the Hyatt bar! It was all nice and newly remodelled. We tried to have a drink there, but it was 2:30pm, and they were closed from 2-3pm for some reason. Really?

Our next stop was the Marriott High Velocity Bar where we ran into Scooter!! He's been stuck in Amsterdam for the last 2 years. Poor guy!

And Froggy! For the last year I've barely seen him, but for the 2 years before that I saw this guy at least once a month!!

The Brits showed up and brought a shirt with them!! For me!!

Paul! He tried to pull some stunt about telling people he wasn't going to the con or something, but no one was really paying attention, nor did anyone really care. Wait, who were we talking about again?

Julie and JP!!

I made a set of stickers that were to be given out to anyone who bought me a drink that weekend. Sadly, I didn't specify that it had to be a drink I would like, so all weekend long I had "girlie" drinks sent to me.

Appletini.

With a yummy cherry!

Some kind of Jaeger Whiskey or something.

Strawberry Daiquiri with whipped cream. Ugh. All the extra sugar was KILLING ME!!

Snake Cane!!

Some kind of plush toy in my pants. But I'm sure it has had its shots.

THURSDAY

After somehow waking up from the previous nights drinking, we headed to the bar.

And found some Marines!!

The usual suspects at the bar.

I had offered to carry the Canadian Flag in the parade because I knew the flag bearers got a special gift, but since I'm not Canadian, they wouldn't let me. But Rex gave me his Pulse Rifle Marksmanship Badge! Woot!!

Michael, our newest Marine!

BIG BOTTLE OF JACK!!!

The Spat Sticker! At the end of the weekend, whomever has the most stickers wins a prize! The prize? A free sticker!!

Morgan got a sticker!

The view from our floor!

For dinner, we headed out to Morton's Steakhouse. Mike McKone (Marvel Comics artist) sent me a gift card as an apology, and it was the best thing EVER! For the 6days of DragonCon we eat crap food every day. It was so nice to have REAL food! Thanks again, MIKE!!!

Flying Shark!!

Cheeky Monkey once again Fez'd everyone! Of course, everyone at the con thought this was somehow Doctor Who related....

Disco Trooper!

Brian in a Screen Used set of Kuzaa armor!! Go Trenches!!

Me and Brian!

Undie Marines!

R2-DoubleD2!

Lisa with the SCS Carbine from Trenches. Screen used!

Z faces off with Brian.

So, so wrong.

Lisa with the Aliens USCM helmet with Drop Down IR Sight (available in the SpatCave Store!).

Dan and Dana!

I was contacted by some people from Vice Media who wanted to follow me around to the cool parties at the con for a Documentary they were doing. Our first stop was the ABC (Anything But Clothes) party.

The Con-Tourage flask compared to the paultry ones we were carrying. So inadequate...

Z dancing up a storm at the party!

The winner of the ABC contest!

Z getting interviewed.

Krista checks to see if her nipples are still there.

Some fans get interviewed outside the Asylum party!

Me, Tony and Aimee!!

At breakfast that night/morning. It's kind of a tradition to go to the Metro Diner at like 4 or 5am and have breakfast!
