Here at Almayer's Folly, we've served our time in Hell.

The Folly used to be a Weyland-Yutani mining colony near the border of UA space. It's mostly mined out now. Still got a cadre of company caretakers to look after the property, and maintain the atmosphere processor. It would be a ghost town, but for one thing: Sstrategic Positioning."

The Folly, located on Cetii Epsilon IV (Charon, to the grunts and blue collar-types), is the first and last line of defense for the richest bunch of mineral reserves in the galaxy. Around fifty Weyland-Yutani and AmArc mining facilities, on seven moons orbiting Alpha Caeli V, collectively known as the Solomons.

A few years back, the United Systems Military made a grab for the Solomons, and we stopped 'em here, at the Battle of Cetii Epsilon IV. Ever since, CE-4 has served as a rallying point to defend the Solomons from attack.

Now Almayer's Folly is a base for elements of the 1st Colonial Marine Brigade, and a detachment of the 3rd Marine Aerospace Wing. We've got the U.S.S. Savo in close support, patroling the border between United Americas and United Systems space. The Folly even serves as a layover and customs checkpoint for commercial starships with routes crossing the border. But life here is hard, and attrition is high.

To make matters worse, the last group of Wey-Yuts that went out to inspect the processor didn't come back. I think something's brewing out there... and it ain't atmosphere.

So, you want to join our little budding Colony, huh? Well, it's easy. You've just got to have a costume based on one of the films. Marine, Smartgunner, Pilot, Colonist, Bug, etc. Any one will do.

Why should you join? Because this is a great place to display pictures of you in your costume; meet other people in your area, or around the world, that also have these costumes; trade tips and tricks on building costumes and props based on the ALIEN films; trade info on other ALIEN costumes and accessories; and to keep informed about upcoming Conventions and to have people to meet up with en masse to storm the Conventions.
